New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1955. Small 4to. Black cloth boards with gold-stamped spine, in black pictorial dust jacket. Hemingway on the many pleasures of a bullfight, which he highly recommends to the connoisseur of violent death as a second-best spectator sport if a good war is not available. That is to say: Hemingway at his most Hemingwayesque. A handsome copy of this lengthy work, illustrated with numerous black and white photographs. Originally published in 1932, this the handsome reissue of 1955. Includes an explanatory glossary and bullfight calendar.
