London: Star, 1976. 16mo. Pictorial wraps. Very good plus. One crease to lower left corner of rear wrap. Lightly scuffed along edges, with one shallow groove across top of text block. Interior pages lightly toned, otherwise clean and unmarked. 254pp. 0352398949 (Item ID: 22131)

First of a trilogy in which Hawkwind fight off a post-apocalyptic Death Generator, with music. An authors' note clarifies that though the characters are based on actual band members, their role as saviors of the human race is largely fictitious. Moorcock is named first on the cover, but listed on the closing credits page as "producer/director," with Butterworth as "writer." The sequel claimed only to be "based on an idea by" Moorcock, who by that time had disclaimed involvement in the project.
