New York: N. Seaman, 1963. First Edition. Announcement sheet, 8.5" by 5.5" approx., printed recto/verso, and two programs (for four of the concerts), each 11" by 8.5", printed recto only and folded into thirds. Altogether very good plus to near fine; one program lightly toned, and another with a small chip to one corner. (Item ID: 21789)

Ephemera from the series of concerts at Judson Hall in NYC, oganized by the well-known concert promoter Norman J. Seaman in association with Charlotte Moorman. The evenings featured early performances of works by many of the key names in international avant-carde composition: John Cage, Iannis Xenakis, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Edgard Varese, Morton Feldman, Toshi Ichniyagi, La Monte Young, Philip Corner, Ornette Coleman, and others. Most of these composers were not present at the events. Performers included Cage, David Tudor, Frederic Rzewski, Max Neuhaus, Charlotte Moorman, and Earle Brown. A stellar series of events, and a beautifully designed group of ephemera.
