Fundraising campaign for this Harlem-based communist bookstore and community center, named after the African-American politician and lawyer Ben Davis (1903-1964), a onetime member of the New York City Council and part of the Communst Party USA. "Every brick you buy provides the new Harlem Ben Davis Bookshop and Center with books, pamphlets and periodicals of struggle and socialism. Help build a center to carry on the ideals and understanding of Ben Davis." OCLC does not locate any examples.
