From an edition of 500 copies isued as Workshop Books No. 3. Collection of poems by the White Panther Party founder, thematically focused on avant-garde jazz ñ the title is borrowed from an Ornette Coleman album, and poems mention John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, and Archie Shepp. Cover shows Sinclair with cornetist Charles Moore, who wrote the book's introduction.
