New York: New York Univerity Press, 1981. First Edition. Square 4to. Black boards in original dust jacket. Just about fine, in a near fine DJ. Mild touch of tinting to jacket flaps. Page edges show a trace of toning, but quite clean, sharp overall. Includes a tipped-in sheet of "Slow Burn Paper" signed and numbered by Terry Fugate-Wilcox, and a tipped-in flexi-disc record by Tashio Sasaki. 385pp. 0814710379 (Item ID: 20880)

Thorough history of the groundbreaking SoHo artist-run space founded by Jeffrey Lew in 1970. One of the first of its kind, the Workshop hosted events and installations by a laundry list of the decade's talents ñ†Vito Acconci, Laurie Anderson, Joseph Beuys, Louise Bourgeois, Chris Burden, Walter De Maria, and Joan Jonas, to name just a few. The book documents every event at the space with notes and photographs, and provides B&W reproductions of 121 artists' works contributed for this volume.
