Maywood, NJ: Duke & Duchess Ventures, Inc., 1986-1987. First Edition. Small 4to. Each issue comprised of two unbound folded sheets (8pp). Altogether, about very good plus. Light folds, handling wear, and minor creases. Most issues clean and bright throughout, with minor touches of soil at several points. (Item ID: 20478)

Twelve issues of this rock-industry newsletter published by Dave Marsh, one of the earliest editors of CREEM magazine. Features maintly off-the-cuff blurbs on a wide variety of rock and pop insider news; rather than simply writing record reviews, Marsh combined industry gossip and noteworthy events with pithy remarks on new albums, perhaps spending more time on the practical, business end of pop music (with much space devoted to discussions of managers, talent scouts, and artists' PR struggles). Marsh also frequently discusses social problems in the music industry, such as racism and the heightening AIDS crisis, with a keen sense of celebrities' role in confronting (or avoiding) the issues of the day. Throughout, he offers detailed, engaged perspective on late 80s pop culture.
