Price: $50.00

Toronto: Editions Grafikos, (1967). First Edition. Oblong 16mo. 8.5" by 7" approx. Saddle-stapled photographic wraps. Very good. Light soiling to wraps; some rust-soil at staples. Interior clean overall with light staple-rust at binding. Unpaginated. From an edition of 2000 copies printed at The Coach House Press. (Item ID: 20338)

An impressive (and uncommon) collection of B&W photos of working-class families in Toronto, with a foreword by the collector. "It was not by accident that many of the photographs show what needed to be corrected or what was being corrected in the lives of immigrants and workers in 1910. Potrayed in all the harshnes and bleakness of an age which was turning from gas to electricity, their moments of appreciation were few; yet, it was on their backs and shoulders that our city eventually grew."
