Program for one of the earliest happenings and the one first group happenings to be staged outside of a gallery environment. The performance included Al Hansen ("Lecture Event With Sight-Sound Stigmata" and "Pepsi-Cola, New Orleans Yellow Strip-Blue Dot Weimar Bauhaus Hoohah Jack Paar Moon"), Jackson Mac Low (John Bull Pack), George Brecht ("One Minute Piece," "One Minute Piece Again," and "One Final One Minute Piece"), Shimone Tomari ("Hand Music" and "David"), and Allan Kaprow ("Intermission Piece"), among others. Other performers and musicians listed include Lucas Samaras, John Cage, Morton Feldman, Elaine Booth, and others. Also prints a brief quote from Cage ("Art is its remembrances.") and a longer one from Kaprow (in part: "...We are only turning away from what should be left behind..."). New customers are asked to prepay. Libraries, institutions, and established customers and dealers may request invoice. Reciprocal courtesies the trade. Books may be returned for any reason within thirty days of receipt, through prior arrangement, and in original condition. Unless books are not as described, however, all postage to be paid by buyer. Maryland residents must add 6% sales tax.
Shipping Terms
We pride ourselves on our packaging. All books are carefully packed to help ensure safe arrival in condition sent. We ship most packages via USPS and include delivery confirmation at no additional charge. Most orders are shipped within two business days. Shipping is $3.99 for the first book and $1.50 for each additional book, domestic media mail. Priority USPS shipping is $6.99 for the first book and $2.50 for each additional book. Oversized books and sets may require additional postage. UPS and Fed-Ex services are available on request and will be billed at cost, unless account number is provided. International shipping for most books to most locations is $24.99, but will be calculated precisely after your order is placed.
