London/New York: Whittaker, Treacher & Co, 1832. First American edition. 8vo. Dark green boards. A very good copy. Shows significant wear to boards at edges and along joints, but binding remains sound. Interior moderately foxed. Remains complete and readable. 325pp. (Item ID: 19139)

The best known work by Frances Trollope, chronicling her travels through America and her observations on American character. First published in England the same year as this American edition. Overall a handsome copy of this early study of American culture from the perspective of a prominent female English author.
