Baltimore, MD: np, 1993. 1 autographed note, signed on Tyler's personal stationery (with embossed stamp of her initials). Folded for insertion into stamped addressed envelope, included. Envelope torn, else fine. (Item ID: 18884)

Brief letter from Tyler written in response to one Robert Fink. Fink had written about Tyler's 1975 novel SEARCHING FOR CALEB, and Tyler's warm note in response answers a question Fink had posed: whether any of the story was based on Tyler's life. She writes that the only "germ of truth" in the novel was a photo of the character Caleb, which was based on an image of her great grandfather. A charming personal note from the novelist.
