Jacket suffers toning and some wear at edges, with an approx. 1" chip at spine and approx. .5" chip at top edge of front panel. Group of small rubbed spots at front panel. Endpapers suffer light offsetting. Interior clean. Tight. Very good. Also includes publication announcement, newspaper clipping of a Stoddard poem and two pieces of corespondence, one holiday card addressed to Stoddard and one TLS on Stoddard's stationary and SIGNED by him, in general very good condition. Collection of verse from the DC poet with correspondence to an admirer of his work. The letter explains Stoddard's appreciation of Chinese culture, and includes a holiday card from a Chinese friend of Stoddard's.
