An attractive catalog of traveling exhibitions prepared by the Museum of Modern Art and made available to universities, colleges, museums, and clubs, as well as educational programs offered to schools and teachers. Exhibitions include: "European Artists in the United States" (artists exiled during the War such as Dali, Ernst, Chagall, Lipchitz), Ansel Adams' photographs of the Japanese-American internment at Manzanar (three week rental fee of $50), contemporary graphic arts from Mexico, various exhibits of modern dance and photography, contemporary architecture, textile design, etc. The foreword from Elodie Courter (the first director of circulating exhibitions at MOMA) notes the peculiar difficulties facing the postwar curator: "Scarcity of lumber makes it necessary to ask exhibitors to notify us as soon as possible if they are interested in the new exhibitions. If sufficient requests are received for these shows by September, 1945, we will circulate them. Otherwise we shall put lumber aside for other exhibitions which may be made available later in the year."
