I: Black cloth with gilt title design to front, spine. In original dust jacket; II-IV uniform: Printed wraps in original illustrated outer wrappers; V: Printed wraps. Volumes I-IV printed in Cuba. Each a first printing, complete with original dust wrappers. Tomo V printed in Puerto Rico with a publication date of 1962 to the title and copyright pages but with 1963 to the outer wrapper, possibly an early printing of the original edition. Mild edgewear to wrappers of II-IV; V with section of loss from spine. Generally sound, clean; texts unmarked. Very good overall. (Item ID: 15162)

A complete, five volume, Spanish language set. The series was undertaken by the French De La Salle Brother Frere Leon (Born Joseph Sylvestre Sauget), noted as the lone author of Volume I. Collaborating on Volumes II-IV and completing Volume V after Leon's death in 1955, was fellow De La Salle Brother Frere Alain (Henri Alain Liogier). This set remains the standard and most complete botanical reference to date on the island of Cuba. Out of print. All volumes uncommon, complete sets scarce in the trade.
