INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR in year of publication to half-title page: "Lillian and Harry / as ever / Carl / 1953." Interior flaps of jacket clipped, though price intact, hand-written price correction below publisher's printed number. Jacket edgeworn, more prominently at spine extremities, area of creasing to lower, rear. Top of spine cloth lightly faded, tiny bits of dampstaining to exterior of page block, otherwise sound, clean.
