San Francisco: The Music Box, 1935. First Edition. Small 8vo. Stapled wrappers. Very good. Mild toning, edgewear. A couple of spots of soil. Old, faint, shallow crease through center of the pamphlet. [4]pp. (Item ID: 14017)

"Souvenir Menu" from this iconic San Francisco theater. The Music Box was home, beginning in 1936, to burlesque performer Sally Rand and her infamous "fan dance." This menu seems to predate Rand's tenure at the club, but Riccomi continued as "host" even after Rand purchased the club. The theater is still considered one of the finest in the country for live events and many performers have recorded live albums there (Grateful Dead, Robin Williams). It continues to this day as the "Great American Music Hall." This menu lists Jimmy Walsh's Orchestra as perfoming and includes the the full multi-course menu as well as section for autographs.
