[Promotional Flyer for Stiff Little Fingers 1979 UK Tour]

[Rough Trade]: [Still Little Fingers]

to Cart
Price: $250.00

London: Rough Trade, 1978. Offset flyer printed black on red recto only; 8 1/4" x 12". Mild wear at edges. In black marker, a contemporary hand has added: "Factory / Feb 16th." Very good or better overall. (Item ID: 13855)

An interesting document in the development of one of the most important indie record labels. Rough Trade began as a London record shop, but soon expanded to tour promotion and releasing music under their own imprint. But it wasn't until the surprise success of Stiff Little Finger's first album INFLAMMABLE MATERIAL (it debuted at #14 on the UK charts) on Feb. 3rd, 1979 that Rough Trade was truly established as a force in the UK music scene. This flyer promotes the band's second date on their subsequent UK tour, at Manchester's famed Factory. Also on the bill are Robert Rental, Essential Logic, and Daniel Miller's The Normal. Miller would use his experience at Rough Trade to later launch Mute Records, another key UK post-punk indie.
