Brief profile of Trasher that originally appeared in a 1939 issue of The American Magazine. Lillian Trasher (1887-1961) was an American missionary in Egypt who ran an orphanage for more than 600 children in Asyut Egypt. With several picture of the orphanage and children in her care. A note of paternal condescension pervades, but an uncommon portrait of an American woman in Africa. OCLC locates 3 copies.
