Price: $100.00

Boston: Little, Brown & Co., (1967). Third printing. 8vo. Very good in a very good minus jacket. DJ has small chip to rear panel. Jacket spine tips worn. A bit soiled. Unclipped. Book has moderate shelfwear. Slightly cocked, but sound. Warmly INSCRIBED at some length by Thayer in 1971 to a personal friend. (Item ID: 13520)

Thayer, socialite and society columnist, wrote the first biography of Jacqueline Kennedy in 1961. This, the follow-up, appeared in 1967 and covered Kennedy's time in the White House with her husband and family. Though largely a hagiography written by a fellow socialite, nonetheless an important entry in the Kennedy cannon. An oddly uncommon book signed, Thayer's signature seems to be genuinely scarce. 362pp. with index.
