[Seattle]: [ca. 1985?]. Square 4to; 8.5" x 8.5". Grey glossy paper-covered boards. 40pp. of a 120pp blank journal used. Holograph text with 48 original watercolor and ink illustrations. Light wear, rubbing. Very good or better. (Item ID: 13019)

A unique artists' book in which Coffin, who was a noted Seattle area artist and animator, illustrated the first, second, and third discourses of the Bhagavad Gita with scenes from the corporate board room. Officers and employees emerge as the leading characters in this classic spiritual text. The paintings are executed in a bright, primary pallette and are variously dark, dramatic, and disturbing. Includes several full-page illustrations, with my more vignette and interspersed with the text. A compelling and decidedly contemporary take.
