New York and San Francisco: The Floating Bear, 1961-1969. First Edition. 4tos. Side- and top-stapled wraps. Most folded, addressed, and stamped for mailing. Generally very good. Mild edgewear. Occasional chipping, a few stray terminal pages loose. Else sound and complete. (Item ID: 12884)

Sixteen issues of DiPrima and Jones' seminal mimeo, all addressed to JARGON publisher Jonanthan Williams. Includes many early issues, which due to their lower print runs are significantly scarcer than the later numbers. Contributors to these issues include Philip Guston, Barbara Guest, William S. Burroughs, Robert Creeley, Bill Berkson, Ed Dorn, Philip Whalen, John Ashbery, Fielding Dawson, Michael McClure, Charles Olson, Hubert Selby, Joe LeSueur, Gregory Corso, John Wieners, Frank O'Hara, Jack Spicer, Ron Padgett, Kenneth Koch, Clark Coolidge, et al. Both Jargon and Floating Bear published many of the same Beat, Black Mountain, and New York School writers. An excellent association between these important publishers of the Mimeo Revolution. [Clay and Phillips pp. 74-75]. [Anderson and Kinzie 699-700].f
