Cottonport, Lousiana: Polyanthos, Inc., 1992. Third edition. 4to. Unread. Bright, tight, and sharp with just touches of light soiling to page edges. A handsome and beautiful production, finely bound in full red cloth boards with gold gilt as well as blue colonial-style floral-pattern endpapers. llustrated. 902pp. (Item ID: 1139)

Second reprint (1992) of the 1974 edition produced under the patronage of the Shrewsbury Historical Society. Originally published in 1885 by R.T. Peck & Co., Philadelphia. Widely considered THE history of the area, indispensable for genealogists and Revolutionary historians. Fascinating for natives and residents. Also included is the ELLIS INDEX by Norma Lippincott Swan, containing name and subject index to the main volume and originally published by the Jerseyana Club in 1973. This too is the 1992 reprint, a matched set. Both uncommon in any edition, scarce together.
