London and New York: J. M. Dent & Sons LTD. and E.P. Dutton & Co., (1935). Later edition. Small 8vo. Red cloth. NF in VG or better jacket. Minor chipping at edges, light rubbing. Everyman's Library 923. SIGNED and inscribed by the noted children's book illustrator and book plate designer Margaret Ely Webb. WITH a Webb-designed bookplate to front pastedown of Mary Chapman Ahrnke. (Item ID: 10635)

Webb was a respected children's book illustrator and bookplate designer, with this title her most well-known. Her signature is quite scarce. Ahrnke was a noted bookplate collector in her own right; a nice association.
