Number 28 of a limited edition of 50 copies; limitation statement also hand-written by Micheline on the first page in marker. On the inside of the front cover is an inscription to critic and fellow poet Rochelle Ratner dated January 19, 1972: "For Rochelle, I hope these words do not vex your sensitivity for you are a fine poet and more important than that a wonderful human being&#91;.] Jack Micheline."  On the verso of the last mimeographed page is an additional original six-line poem entitled "invisible epitaph," hand-written and signed. Micheline has also made a couple of small corrections to two of the poems. Front cover has a crease and a small stain at the top edge. Otherwise unmarked and sound.

INSCRIBED, DATED AND SIGNED BY BUKOWSKI in silver ink: "There's never enough to drink, but there's always somebody to tell you what writing should be. Charles Bukowski 12-10-63." Above this inscription Bukowski has added an original drawing. A particularly Bukowskian inscription in a particularly handsome example of a fragile production.
